Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspects wanted in connection with the homicide of a male victim in the area of the 500 block of California Ave. Reno, NV.
On May 8, 2011 at approximately 12:30 a.m. police officers responded to the above area on a report of an armed robbery. Officers located an injured male near the sidewalk and two other uninjured victims. The two male and one female victims were walking westbound when they were confronted by four suspects. One of the suspects grabbed the female victim’s purse and tried to take it away. The two male victims tried to intervene and a scuffle ensued. During the struggle one of the male victims sustained a gunshot wound and later succumbed to his injuries. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members. The suspects fled in a white four door sedan. The suspects are described as four Hispanic males in their late teens or early 20’s. These same suspects may have been involved in other serious crimes in South Reno and Carson City during the evening.
Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
