Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of 500.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the hit and run of a pedestrian in the area of Talus Way and N. Virginia St. Reno, NV.
On Thursday August 20, 2020 at about 8:25 p.m. Reno Fire, REMSA and Reno Police Officers responded to Talus Way and North Virginia St. on the report of a vehicle versus a pedestrian crash. Upon arrival they located an adult female who was down in the street. The victim was transported to Renown Medical Center and later found to have substantial but non-life threatening internal injuries. The pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk and used the flashing beacons provided at the crosswalk. The vehicle involved in this crash did not stop to render aid, and fled the scene driving southbound on N. Virginia St. The Reno Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect vehicle involved in this crash as well as any additional witnesses. One vehicle of interest is described as a light colored (possibly white), SUV with dark paint or plastic along the lower quarter of the vehicle. This vehicle is possibly a Jeep Cherokee, and was traveling east on Vista Rafael Pkwy and turned south onto N. Virginia St. just before the crash. The second vehicle of interest is described as a silver passenger car (possibly a VW Golf) that was traveling south on N. Virginia St. prior to the crash.
