On August 27th, 2022, at approximately 11:07pm, Sparks patrol officers responded to a Stabbing call at 670 Greenbrae Drive in Sparks. The adult victim was transported by medics to Renown medical center with a non-life threatening wound to the abdomen.
About 40 minutes later, Officers responded to the intersections of Sullivan Lane and McCarran Blvd. for a shooting. Officers arrived on scene to find that the driver of a vehicle in the intersection was shot multiple times. Detectives were called in to assist with the investigations.
After further investigation, the suspect in the Stabbing was found to be a passenger in the victim vehicle that was shot at. Alejandra Mora-Izquierdo was arrested without incident for the Stabbing earlier at 670 Greenbrae Drive.
The adult victim of the shooting was transported to Renown medical center in critical condition. The suspect of the shooting fled the scene before Officers arrival. The victim of the shooting is expected to survive their injuries and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
Both incidents appear to be between individuals who know one another and there is no immediate danger to the public.
