Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) wanted in connection with the homicide of two victims in the area of McCarran and Sutro Reno, NV and 2600 block of Cygnet Circle Sparks, NV.
On January 21, 2017 at approximately 1:09 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. the Sparks Police Department and the Reno Police Department responded to calls of several shots fired in the above areas. Officers arrived and located two deceased male victims, one in each jurisdiction. Investigators believe the cases are related and both departments are working together… No further information is available and the investigation is on-going. Reno Police Department and the Sparks Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s).
UPDATE:
As the one year anniversary of the murders of Saul Garcia (SPD 17-612) and Edgar Rodriguez (RPD 17-1346) rapidly approaches, the Reno Police Department Robbery Homicide Unit is re-releasing the suspect vehicle photos from January 21st and asking the community for assistance in identifying and locating the listed vehicles.
The truck depicted in the photos is confirmed to be a suspect vehicle. At the time the photos were taken it likely had damage to the passenger side consistent with the shooting.
The sedan pictured, described as having maroon or orange color shifting paint was last seen in the area of the 7-11 at Sutro and Oddie in the early morning hours of January 21st, 2017 and is believed to be associated to both the RPD and the SPD homicide cases.
It is possible that the unidentified suspects would have abruptly sold or separated themselves from these vehicles as they were used in the commission of two murders. It is also possible that they would have had indications of being either freshly repaired or painted during the end of January or February of 2017.
