Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount $500.00 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the hit and run of a victim in the area of West 4th and Summit Ridge Dr. Reno, NV.
On October 15, 2017 at approximately 5:46 a.m. officers from the Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department and REMSA responded to West 4th Street and Summit Ridge Drive regarding a subject down in the roadway. Once on scene they learned that this was a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle was left on scene, but the driver had fled on foot prior to police arrival. Reno Police, Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and continuing the investigation. At this time it appears that the pedestrian was either walking or standing in the middle of the roadway on West 4th St. when he was struck by a west bound vehicle. The pedestrian was a 24 year old Reno resident that died at the scene. His identity is not being released at this time due to pending family notifications. Investigators are attempting to identify and locate the driver of the vehicle and any potential witnesses.
Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.
