The Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department and REMSA responded at approximately 3:30 A.M. to a pedestrian down in the roadway on Stead Blvd south of Lear Blvd. A single vehicle was traveling north on Stead Blvd. and struck a pedestrian that was in the roadway during the hours of darkness. The vehicle then fled the scene failing to stop and administer first aide or call for help. The 70-year-old, male pedestrian, was transported to RENOWN with life threatening injuries. The Reno Police Department is looking for the striking vehicle. It is only described as a pickup or SUV with a damaged right side (passenger side) mirror. The vehicle is believed to be a dark metallic gray.
