On March 25th 2016 at approximately 12:15 a.m. Sparks Police responded to a report of a possibly white male adult shooting a rifle into a residence in the 1600 Block of A St. Sparks, NV. When officers arrived on scene, they located evidence that a firearm had been fired; however, no victim could be located. Several witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots and seeing a possible White or Hispanic male running from the scene with a firearm. This subject was not located.
A few hours later, officers located an injured male in a nearby residence, who had suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper body. He was transported to a local hospital, and treated for his injuries.
This investigation is on-going and no further details with be released at this time, to include the victim’s name. If more information becomes available, it will be disseminated at a later time.
